- WWI 100th Anniversary Wall Hanging Appeal
A wall hanging has been hand sewn by a small group of people in the village. The piece has been carefully designed to reflect various aspects of the war. The names of those who died are also included.
Mrs Harris reported that Sue Gidman has requested that the Parish Council contribute £300 to the cost of the project. It was pointed out that those involved in making the hanging have donated most of the materials that were used. The hanging will be displayed in the Memorial Hall and will be unveiled at a tea party on Sunday 11th November at 3pm. Mrs Grady has organized cake donations for the tea. Any donations received on the day for refreshments will be donated to the British Legion. Agreed.
