In response to representations received the Chairman advised that plans to provide additional parking places on land between the Memorial Hall and the Memorial Hall Field were at a very preliminary stage and that the community will be fully consulted on these plans if the Parish Council considers that the provision of these additional parking spaces would be
an effective and cost efficient solution to the shortage of parking places in the centre of the Village. The Chairman also advised that the approval of Knole Estate, SDC and the Planning Inspectorate would also be required
for such a scheme to go ahead.

8. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
The Parish Council agreed to support the resident’s campaign to stop the felling of an ancient oak tree in 7 Elmfield Close. Sevenoaks District Council has agreed to remove a TPO on this tree as it is alleged that this tree is responsible for damage to a nearly property. The evidence that this tree is responsible for the damage is questionable and the Parish Council would not wish to see this tree removed without independent verification and/or other preventative measures being considered that would allow the tree to remain.
